Pinot Noir 2005

2005 was a definitely a cool climate vintage in the Gibbston Valley. As a single estate vineyard we reflect the seasons through the wine – it is truly a living embodiment of the vines, soils, climate and the skills of those tending the vines and making the wine. Our 2005 has benefited from cellaring over the past 12 months and is drinking very well indeed. The aromas are of red berry/strawberry fruit, with some very pretty perfumed spice and earthy notes. The wine has a moderate body with great acidity carrying the flavours, and good length with very fine tannins. This wine is well balanced, and truly representative of the Gibbston Valley in a cool year.
