After a swirl of the glass and the aroma of a new wine experience will carry you away; to a place, a memory or an experience. The first taste of a wine should light up your senses and evoke associations with pleasure. Our 2021 Pinot Noir Rosé is doing just that this year. It is a unique ‘Single Vineyard’ and described with a single WOW.
The first impression is of a brilliant light shade of Ruby. The aromas take you on a summer journey; flowering roses and redcurrant, crushed strawberries and raspberries, and curious noses will detect faint notes of blood orange rind.
This promise is gracefully flowing onto the palate and lead to a soft textured mouthfeel. The density of the wine and its refreshing elegance leads to a long lingering finish.
It is an essential summer companion for long lunches and outdoor dining or just for gazing into the blue yonder.

Rated Top 10 Rosé 2021
18.5/20 pts (93pts) Gold Medal, Perfect to Outstanding
Bright, berry red colour with depth, even colour throughout. The nose is full and savoury, greeted with pine, thyme flower, a pepper dusting, underlying redcurrant, cherry and blood orange.
Medium-bodied, the wine has a broody, mealy tone, dry to taste; aromas of red cherry, red currant, and blood orange melded with a fine dusting of black pepper, unveiling pine, thyme flower and rose. Vibrant acidity provides good energy and freshness. Savoury phenolics contribute to a light grip and add a mealy desire.
This is a savoury Rosé with vibrant acidity, succulent fruit and a herbaceous, mealy palate. Match with beef carpaccio and lamb's fry with red wine over the next 3-4 years. 100% Pinot Noir fruit from Gibbston, handpicked, destemmed, 3 days on skins, indigenous yeast fermentation, 13% alc, 2 g/l RS, rested on lees for 4 months in 15% older French oak barriques and 85% stainless steel. Very Good to Excellent
A twist of the pepper mill, plum, gravelly nuances, savoury notes. A splash of sweet confectionery shifts to darker raspberry and cherry notes with a chewy feel to the texture.
A bolder expression, developing fruit pastille characters, with zesty acidity and piquancy to keep it all vibrant. Growing fruit sweetness which will appeal to those who don’t want their wine bone dry.

Excellent Quality, Featured in Listener Feb Edition
This youthful wine was estate-grown at Gibbston and matured on its lees for four months, mostly in tanks; 15% of the blend was aged in seasoned oak barriques. Bright pink/pale red, it is fresh, lively and smooth, with gentle strawberry and spice flavours, balanced acidity and a dry, harmonious finish.

93/100pts, Outstanding quality showing varietal purity and exemplifying regional type.
Richer in style, the fragrant bouquet shows red cherry, raspberry, peach and lemon zest aromas, followed by a beautifully flavoursome palate that's succulent and fleshy. Vibrant and refreshing with a lingering crisp-dry finish. At its best: now to 2024
