The 2025 Hawkshead Riesling perfectly embodies the noble variety's traits, swaying towards the drier spectrum of OFF-DRY in style.Â
Delightfully expressive with entwined layers of lime, greengage plums, honey blossom and spice. The vibrant nuances carry seamlessly onto the palate and intensify. Savour the taste and detect the fine linear Central Otago mineral notes that linger on the finish.
The subtle richness of the wine is enlivened by fresh, racy acidity and creates an enjoyable tension between flavour, texture, and crispness. This elegant and refined style of Riesling pairs well with a wide range of cuisine, especially light poultry, pork, and fish dishes.

EXCELLENT
Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
91pts, A wine with concentration, texture, character and quality
Aromas of red apple and makrut lime-flower, some blossoms and honeysuckle with a light seam of lees. An off-dry wine touches the palate with flavours of citrus and pomaceous fruits; there’s a citrus pith and makrut leaf, then a wet stone mineral quality. Refreshing and well made with medium length and complexity. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2033+

Outstanding quality (gold medal standard)
Invitingly scented, the bright, light lemon/green 2025 vintage (*****) was hand-picked at Lowburn (76.5 per cent) and Bendigo (23.5 per cent). A mouthfilling style of Riesling, it is vibrant, with rich, peachy, lemony, slightly appley flavours, balanced acidity and an off-dry finish. Full of personality and already delicious, it should be at its best 2028+.

95 / 100 Outstanding quality showing varietal purity and exemplifying regional type.
Pristine and delightfully expressed, the bouquet reveals white-fleshed peach, orange peel, lemon sorbet, and rich floral nuances. The palate delivers excellent concentration, refined texture, and elegant sweetness, superbly balanced by racy acidity, resulting in a prolonged, harmonious finish. Style: Off-dry.
At its best: now to 2035
