EXCELLENT
Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
93pts, A wine with concentration, texture, character and quality
The signature of Central Otago’s landscape is part of the bouquet with wild savoury thyme and rocky hillsides, then aromas of dark cherry and barrel spices, fresh and dried raspberry and wood smoke all adding complexity and layers. Dry, firm, youthful and well made with a frame of polished tannins and medium+ acidity, some wood spice and warming alcohol surrounding a core of red berry fruits and plums. Well made, youthful still with best drinking from late 2027 through 2033+.

Outstanding quality (gold medal standard)
Still very youthful, this full, bright ruby red is mouth filling, vibrant and supple. (5*) It has concentrated cherry, plum and spice flavours, showing excellent ripeness and depth, nutty and savoury notes adding complexity, and a finely textured, long finish. Full of cellaring potential, it should be at its best 2027+.

97/ 100 Exceptional quality exhibiting the highest level of concentration and complexity.
This is immensely complex and enticing on the nose, showing dark berry, clove, dried mushroom, rich floral and cedar characters. The concentrated palate is both silky and robust with outstanding depth and persistency. Wonderfully framed by beautifully infused silky tannins, finishing superbly long and sophisticated. At its best: 2025 to 2037.
